It's Working with the Town Council, Leek Allotment Holders and Gardeners’ Association has recently made a successful bid to the Staffordshire Commissioner’s People Power Fund. This will provide the funding for CCTV cameras and enhanced gates and fencing to improve security at allotment sites.

Following several break-ins, a police survey report in 2019 recommended that improvements be made to the boundaries and gaps be filled in to deter intruders. Members of the Allotments Association have been working on plots in Beggar’s Lane to erect new fences. One plot, neglected for many years, has been cleared and is almost ready to be let again.
